Hey guys so I got to see my absolute favourite band a couple of nights ago. If you hadn’t guessed by the title that band is none other than Tiger Army an outstanding psychobilly punk band. I’m that obsessed that I have three tattoos to them although one ended up stuffing up but hey ho! Anyway I wouldn’t be a very good Punk Rock Ostomate if I didn’t start going to the odd gig again would I?
So you many have seen on my social media that I went to meet the lovely team over at Comfizz on Friday. That had been in the works since August.
Hey there October first looking good! In my house it was always Hocus Pocus day where we start the countdown to Halloween and obviously watch Hocus Pocus. But since becoming an ostomate I now know it’s World Ostomy Day and that now has more meaning than Hocus Pocus day although that is still important! Read more
So here is the post about the black tie event of my year! The Purple Wings Charity Ball! My phone died so I didn’t get as many photos as I wanted too! But Lauren really made it a night to remember.
I’m going to split this into two parts otherwise you will be reading forever!!
As you all know by now I went to the Purple Wings Charity event. I was lucky enough to snap up a free ticket so I could go. I was so excited but incredibly nervous about going; to a city I’ve never been too, by myself to meet people I’ve never met before! I had messaged Lauren a few times and felt quite an instant connection to her, she has such a big heart and is beautiful inside and out. She managed to make it so 00Steve could come with me as well after an unfortunate turn of events occurred. I don’t think she will ever truly understand what that meant to us both.
So I found out last night about the Purple Wings Charity through a post on the Osto My Fashion Facebook group, could be some interesting companies there.
As I walked in I was greeted by one of my stoma nurses then further round I saw the other. I nearly didn’t recognise them not in their uniforms! Both of them looked lovely. Due to the high amount of people at the open day I didn’t get the chance to take photos.
