Bag Roulette What Have I Learnt?

bag roulette what have I learnt about the pouches?

So this is the end of The IBD and Ostomy Support Show’s okay lets face it Louise’s crazy idea of bag roulette. I just thought I would take the time to think about what I have learnt overall from this little for me “experiment” on the pouches other than Louise is a loveable mad scientist? Read more

Coloplast SenSura Mio Two Piece

coloplast click and flex

As you may remember I ordered two different Coloplast SenSura Mio two piece appliances when we started the bag roulette trial and review. Well there must have been some mix up because I had to get in touch with them on Thursday 6th to see what was what. They were very helpful and I was asked some questions on why I wanted a two piece etc. Then they were to arrive the Monday after. *naked stoma in post* Read more

Ostomy Bag Roulette – Salts Healthcare

This week we are trialling Natalie’s bag which comes from Salts Healthcare. Now Natalie doesn’t use a convex bag and as my stoma is retracted I couldn’t risk wearing a flat bag so I literally went online and found the convex equivalent to her bag! Ostomy Bag Roulette – Ordering Stoma Bags

ordering stoma bag online

So as Louise mentioned in the link we are doing a sort of trial and review on the stoma bags we use and send them to each other to see how we each get on with them, which we will cover on The IBD and Ostomy Support Show. Now *disclaimer* we each have had our stoma’s long enough to know what is normal for our peristomal skin and what isn’t. We are going to be honest with our reviews of each bag and maybe even find one that works better than our current bag. As Rachel’s ileostomy Bob has prolapsed we have decided it is safer for her not to take part and she will trial urostomy products instead. So cue what to us is essentially ostomy bag roulette! Check Your Stock…Are You Over Ordering?

how much stock do you have

And like me not actually realising it? Now I have been really good when it had come to the bags, I asked my delivery company which is Securicare awhile back to put the bags on hold. This was partly to do with pregnancy affecting my skin and how it took to the bags. But I received a phone call on Monday from Securicare as a courtesy to see if my order needed changing. Now I dropped a few things and only added one, but it made me think do I really need everything on my order? And what did I have in stock? Read more
