Well today is my first Christmas with a stoma and I went into today with some fear from reading different articles talking about the “Do’s and Don’t’s” of the festive period. I’m NOT going to do that but talk about what my day ended up being like because well I can lol.

This is the first booklet in what I can gather is going to work into a series from Trio Ostomy Care. I have already received their booklet on healthy eating which was also pretty interesting and had some ideas for recipes. It’s not just summer we all go on holiday, I know plenty of people jetting off for winter sun holidays (lucky sods) so this is worth getting.
Hey guys so I got to see my absolute favourite band a couple of nights ago. If you hadn’t guessed by the title that band is none other than Tiger Army an outstanding psychobilly punk band. I’m that obsessed that I have three tattoos to them although one ended up stuffing up but hey ho! Anyway I wouldn’t be a very good Punk Rock Ostomate if I didn’t start going to the odd gig again would I?
There is a lot of buzz in the ostomy world regarding exercise and fitness helped along by the amazing Zoey Wright placing second in the Pure Elite Pro show recently. Not to mention she will be in the finals VERY shortly, I know you can do it! But you don’t have to be a pro athlete or a fitness fanatic to enjoy exercise or work on your core with an ostomy. Someone in one of the support groups I’m part of on Facebook (I’m sorry I couldn’t remember which one to give you credit) shared a post on Trio Ostomy Care and how they have a little booklet on tips on healthy eating with an ostomy.
So I’ve been told twice by my dietitian, my stoma nurse and my surgeon to drink isotonic drinks in varying degrees. Read more
