Ostomy Bag Roulette – Ordering Stoma Bags

ordering stoma bag online

So as Louise mentioned in the link we are doing a sort of trial and review on the stoma bags we use and send them to each other to see how we each get on with them, which we will cover on The IBD and Ostomy Support Show. Now *disclaimer* we each have had our stoma’s long enough to know what is normal for our peristomal skin and what isn’t. We are going to be honest with our reviews of each bag and maybe even find one that works better than our current bag. As Rachel’s ileostomy Bob has prolapsed we have decided it is safer for her not to take part and she will trial urostomy products instead. So cue what to us is essentially ostomy bag roulette! courgette chips - meatless monday

These posts maybe sporadic but as long as I remember to take photos of my food then it should end up more frequent *insert see no evil monkey emoji lol* Read more

What Is It Like To Live With Someone Who Is Chronically Sick?

what is it like to live with a chronically sick person

I have literally been wanting to do this post for aaaages! But I have really had to lean on 00Steve to do this because although he is incredibly supportive of everything I do to raise Ostomy Awareness, he would rather do it in the background where he can just listen to me whinge! But I thought it might be beneficial to hear what it is like to live with someone who is chronically sick. Read more

Vegan Curry – Meatless Mondays

vegan curry - meatless monday

So I get a few comments or raised eyebrows over what I can and can’t eat. I eat predominantly a vegetarian/vegan diet but I do still on occasion eat meat and this is usually limited to white meat. I don’t have this diet for any particular animal rights or even strict dietary requirements. I am not overly keen on red meats, this may have something to do with it irritatating my Ulcerative Colitis but now I just don’t really care for it unless it is in a tomato based pasta dish. I just prefer eating vegetarian foods and because I still have some mild very mild intolerances to dairy I often eat vegan unless it is cheese, cheese has never done me any harm so I won’t give it up! Check Your Stock…Are You Over Ordering?

surplus stock are you over ordering?

And like me not actually realising it? Now I have been really good when it had come to the bags, I asked my delivery company which is Securicare awhile back to put the bags on hold. This was partly to do with pregnancy affecting my skin and how it took to the bags. But I received a phone call on Monday from Securicare as a courtesy to see if my order needed changing. Now I dropped a few things and only added one, but it made me think do I really need everything on my order? And what did I have in stock? Read more
