And like me not actually realising it? Now I have been really good when it had come to the bags, I asked my delivery company which is Securicare awhile back to put the bags on hold. This was partly to do with pregnancy affecting my skin and how it took to the bags. But I received a phone call on Monday from Securicare as a courtesy to see if my order needed changing. Now I dropped a few things and only added one, but it made me think do I really need everything on my order? And what did I have in stock? Read more
…In your medical teams. Right now I’m having a repeat of when I was pregnant with Ra-Ra but this time they don’t seem to be wanting to help me. The first time around my obstetrics/midwifery team was fairly small as it was a relatively small hospital, since then departments have been closed down and everything has pretty much been shifted to the hospital up the road who is part of the local trust. Now most people in my local area or at least my hometown don’t have much faith in the bigger hospital and I’ve been witness to this both with colorectal and now obstetrics. Read more
So a lot of women have the dilemma of what do they take to the hospital for the birth of their baby. Now it’s definitely easier after you have done it before, but what about when you are having a caesarean? or if you have a stoma or like me both! Yep we all have times when our output/stool/poop whatever you like to call it doesn’t want to play ball and goes super liquidy. You don’t always want to take loperamide or just can’t seem to take enough to make a difference. Hopefully this little list could make all the difference to give you some relief, because let’s face it most of us have spent far too much of our lives on the toilet before our ostomies. Read more
